The United States National Park system is one of the most extensive park and recreation systems in the world.  The adventures are just waiting for you, whether it’s a trip back in history at the cave dwellings of Mesa Verde, a walk through geologic time in the Grand Canyon, or a trip underground to the depths of Wind Cave.  Each visit to a National Park gives you a unique experience that you and your kids will remember for ever.

Experience the World

Mesa Verde, Spanish for green table, was the home of the Ancestral Pueblo people over 700 hundred years ago.

This fantastic National Park has unique tours that allow you to walk through the ancient cliff dwellings with Park Rangers.  Mesa Verde National Park is open year-round, but some facilities, tours, and access to archeological sites are seasonal. To make the most out of your trip, take a look at the park schedules to see what will be available at the time of your visit.

We recommend spending a whole day at least at this Park and really let your imagination take you back in time. Embrace the experience, pretend you are a hunter or a scout or a lookout.  Play with a game of deer hunter while you have a picnic lunch and get the whole family into the action. Truly try to experience and imagine what it must have been like to live back 700 years ago.

Don’t Miss the Junior Ranger Programs

One of the best things you can do with your kids when you visit a National Park is participate in the Junior Ranger program.  There are over 300 different Junior Ranger badges and patches that can be earned.  This program is designed to engage kids in the National Park experience.  Most of the parks offer a program and the activities are age appropriate for kids from 4-13.  The workbooks are available at the visitor center and are a great way to share the details of the National Park with your kids.  With a sense of adventure and excitement you can introduce your kids to the amazing world of the great outdoors!    Instill a love for  America and respect for our natural world while making lifelong memories….
